Gjiri i Kakomesë

Kakomë is the bay people remember. About 13 km north of Sarandë, between the village of Nivicë and Cape Qefali, this horseshoe-shaped cove is one of the calmest and most isolated on the Ionian coast. White pebbles, sheer cliffs and green hillsides frame water so transparent the boats seem to float on glass.

Roughly 300 to 400 metres wide and with no working road, Kakomë stays quiet even in high summer. If you take one swim on the trip, many travellers say this is the one.
